The days of the do it your self are limited to some basic tasks. 
Today it takes more than some fluid additives or fluid cleaning procedures to make a car perform to factory specs as designed. A fluid additive can not "protect the engine" or "give better fuel mileage" if proper repairs or maintained schedules are not performed. If the factory wanted these additives in their vehicles, they would be installed when new and required in their scheduled services .Vehicles now have extended fluid service schedules which require specials fluids to be used. Mechanical functions have to be in proper order for a vehicle to perform to specs as designed. Certain required procedures not done by experienced  certified trained techs could harm your car and could void your warranty. 

We assisted TV's Action 9 who did a expose' on this and the damages peoples vehicles suffered from unskilled techs and fluid additives not required by the manufacturers.

Our  technicians use their own computer information station that is dedicated to detailed factory approved repair procedures , factory approved service information , factory maintenance schedules , factory service bulletins , factory revised parts (updates) and replacement procedures , factory technical service bulletins , factory and NHTSA safety recalls and technician  field fixes to correct difficult problems that others can not repair.
